Fat Burners

One of the most misunderstood supplements in the industry.  There are no magic pills, powders potions that will make you lose weight.  Over the counter fat-burning pills are generally nothing more than an under-dosed blend of herbal substances that have been shown to negligibly affect fat loss.

The problem is the amount put in the fat burners is often nowhere near the amounts tested to give results.  Common ingredients are Caffeine, Green tea extract, White tea extract, Bitter orange, Vitamin C, L-Cartinine and sometimes chromium.  Even the best over the counter “fat burner” will only raise a metabolism temporarily by 3-4% which for the average person dieting, will be about an extra 60-80kcal burned per day.  In my opinion, this doesn’t justify the £30-£40 price tag.
