Whey Protein Concentrate

The most commonly found protein, it’s a mixture of proteins isolated from whey during the production of cheese as what is essentially a waste-product.  Generally 80-90% protein content and will contain some fat and carbs.

Whey Protein Isolate

A higher quality protein due to its higher content of pure proteins can be pure enough to almost be lactose-free, carb-free, fat-free and cholesterol-free.

Whey Protein Hydrolysate

Expensive due to its higher production costs and purity.  Hydrolysates are pre-digested using enzymes for a much faster absorption speed.  Generally thought to be superior for a post workout protein than the other types due to its rapid absorption.

We would recommend a whey concentrate or whey isolate because if you are on a budget food will be the most important thing, not a supplement! Most whey hydrolysate can be £50+ and only have 20 servings in, so for value of money and quality a whey isolate would always be our pick.
